Electronic Technician 1986- 1988 PRIVATE: California Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair various communication equipment, including: two-way radios, pagers, cellular phones using knowledge of digital, analog, and RF principles to localize malfunctions to the component level; effectively and safely use a variety of tools and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal and tone generators, and power meters. Work effectively either alone or in conjunction with other employees, and with a minimum of supervision. Work and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers. ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN 1981- 1986 PRIVATE: Nevada Operate, maintain, calibrate and repair various electronic equipment; including acquisition and tracking radar systems, receivers, transmitters, computer interface equipment, control systems, antennae, servo mechanisms. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and specification manuals; use electronic test equipment, instruments and hand tools safely and skillfully. ELECTRONIC FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE 1979-1981 PRIVATE: California Perform system test/ integration of electronic systems for US Navy; including receivers, high voltage transmitters, signal processors, and computers. Troubleshoot , repair, align, calibrate and diagnose system performance. Record and evaluate system parameters and performance under extreme environmental conditions. Make recommendations for solutions of system failures under test. Use knowledge of digital, analog and RF theory and principles hand tools, and specialized test equipment to accomplish tasks. Work and communicate well with employees, supervisors, and customers. ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN/ SUPERVISOR 1971- 1979 U.S. Navy Various; see DD214 Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of communication, radar, and electronic warfare(ESM, ECM, ECCM) systems. Schedule and assign personnel to perform periodic maintenance on these systems, prepare reports, make equipment and personnel evaluations. Communicate well with officers, CPO's, fellow petty officers, and non-rated personnel.
